Morandi Steel: logistics made to measure

All the news in the video interview with Bruno Lazzari, Head of Purchasing and Logistics

Planning purchases to optimise stock levels and product turnover. Planning shipments and organising workloads in the best possible way, with a view to reducing costs and emissions. This is the role of logistics, a fundamental aspect in the activity of a steel service centre as Morandi Steel.

The year 2022 was a complex one, marked by a general increase in costs and difficulties in finding the necessary means to cover the various business routes. To succeed the obstacles encountered along the way, Morandi Steel acted in various directions. One example is the online TMS platform developed to open up new transport channels, which will also allow the company to obtain a CO2 reduction certification.

In line with the objectives of the Morandi 2025 plan, the logistics department will also be the focus of investments aimed at technological innovation. One aim: to continue to improve in order to be a modern and innovative steel service centre, able to offer customers an increasingly tailored, punctual and sustainable service.
