Structural Hollow Section EN 10219
Cold formed structural hollow sections ensure high mechanical resistance and a high yield point. They are used to make fixed load-bearing structures in civil, industrial and mechanical constructions. Cold formed hollow sections withstand static pressures but show low resilience to shocks and ripping, therefore they are less appropriate for constructions subject to dynamic pressures at low temperatures. The manufacturing of cold formed structural hollow sections is regulated by European standard UNI EN 10219-2006 1 and 2.
Morandi SPA trades a wide range of hollow sections EN 10219 of grade S 355 J2H. Round hollow sections are available with a diameter of up to 610 mm, square and rectangular hollow sections up to sizes of 500 mm and 20 mm of thickness. The materials supplied are CE branded, according to the Technical Standards for the Building Industry. Thanks to its modern cutting lines, Morandi SPA can execute on all its hollow sections cuts at executive size with small tolerances.
