Giorgio Maschietto – from 2013 at the head of Morandi Spa as a shareholder and general manager – analyzes the strategic choices introduced by the company.
“When, in March 2013, I agreed with Manuel to share with him the renovation project of Morandi Spa and drive it in the first person – I knew that the challenge in front of me was demanding. Also because we all know that being steel supplier, today and in Italy, it is becoming increasingly difficult. But I agreed with courage to share the re-launch of the company because I wanted to give my own contribution.
Building on my experience, the first steps have been opening up to international markets and entry into the quality products market, we have included in our offer the structural hollow sections En 10210 and 10219. We also expanded the service center already exists with new cutting lines to provide tubular cut to size.
Today, after a year and a half, I have to say that the choices made are proving us right, with a + 43% of sales volumes at the September 30 compared to September 30 of last year.
The change in strategy has clearly led to great investment for the company in terms of financial and human resources, we intend to continue that way in the future, in order to consolidate the excellent results achieved this year. We are also renewing the company image and corporate communications as well as other projects that you will discover in time.
